Microfibre Sample Testing at the Mill

We recently welcomed Ishrat Badruddin and Fearne Johnson from the School of Design at University of Leeds and Holly Roberts from University of Exeter. The team were here to obtain real time data for their research project, "Microfibre Shedding During Textile Manufacturing and Impacts on the Environment: A UK Case Study".

During the site visit we supplied samples of each of our mill production processes, and the collected data will be used to study the major contributing steps for microfibre emissions in textile manufacturing, the impact of the production process and to find scalable solutions to reduce microfibre emissions.

Our contribution towards this project forms part of our ongoing strategy to explore and expand our work with sustainable and natural materials, collaborating with academic institutions and research partners.
